Reactor-88 x Skelanimals x Qee

Since Toy2r USA has made the official announcement, I can finally talk about this a bit. I’m quite excited to be part of the upcoming Skelanimals Qee Artist Series. I was invited to participate in this project last year and I’ll be honest- at the time I had no idea what Skelanimals were. Once I saw them (who can resist cute animals and skeletons?) I gladly jumped on board. Something else to note- this is a big milestone for me as this is the first (announced) production toy design I’ve made that will see the light of day. I’ve been contacted throughout the years to submit art/toy design concepts to a few companies, but for the most part my designs seemed to have been absorbed into the black hole of their archives. I’m also happy to say that besides this project, there’s a good chance a few others will see the light of day in the near future. Looks like 2010 is shaping up to be a good year…

Reactor-88 x Dolly Oblong - Paper Totem
Plush and paper toy extraordinaire Dolly Oblong contacted me a while back about her paper totem project. Paper toys are pretty cool and I always thought it would be fun to design one, so when Dolly asked if I’d be interested in trying my hand at a Paper Totem design I immediately said yes. I figured it would be ages before I could get to it since I’m literally buried under a mountain of other things right now, but I really wanted to work on this as it was something different than what I usually do and it would be a nice diversion. So I squeezed in a few hours here and there and was able to finish it up. I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out. If you’d like to download my Paper Totem design, click here. Also while you’re there, check out Dolly’s site- she does some really cool work.
